Sunday Scribblings #221 - Life Swap

Here is the challenge for today over at http://www.sundayscribblings.blogspot.com/

Is there anyone whose life you would swap yours with? NO, CAN'T THINK OF ANYONE WORTH SWAPPING WHAT I HAVE
What about for one day? HMMMM...
One hour? DOABLE :)
If you did swap lives and then got yours back, what lessons would you have learned? TO APPRECIATE EVEN MORE ALL THE BLESSING I RECEIVE ON A DAILY BASIS
What would you do differently if you could? I WOULD TAKE MORE RISKS (CHANCES) IN ORDER TO FULFILL DREAMS/GOALS
Whose life fascinates you? A PHILATROPIST'S LIFE, MUST BE GREAT TO BE ABLE TO GIVE ON A REGULAR BASIS
If you wouldn't swap lives with anyone, why not? BECAUSE I LOVE MY LIFE, WITH ALL ITS UPS AND DOWNS - I RATHER COUNT MY BLESSINGS THAN WISH FOR WHAT I DO NOT HAVE.

The Gallery - Motherhood

I have many photos of my Princess and I, many examples of what motherhood is...  I found it so very hard to pick one. I chose this one because of her funny face!
We had been strolling on the boardwalk and made a stop so I could feed her some "esquites" - cooked corn kernels - but as soon as she saw the camera posing took priority and what could I do but wait?! Oh how I miss those days when she was little and spontaneous!
I am glad I made the time to enjoy her then and I cherish my time with her now ~

Sand, waves, a ball and topless! What can be better than that when you're 3?! :)

Sunday Scribblings #219 - Superhero (ine)

There are superheroes all around us - in my opinion - we just need to stop and take a look, really see what others are doing on a dialy basis to make a difference in someone's life...
All those mothers who in one way or another sacrifice one thing or (many) another in order to provide for her child/ren...
What about those gentle souls who volunteer at retirement centers, youth camps, etc? I've never thank them, have you?
According to popular belief a superhero/ine does something for someone and then is acclaimed by the whole wide world, however, the REAL superheroes I know are not even acknowledged... most of the time.
Wouldn't be great to take the time and thank a teacher, doctor, nurse, volunteer, mother, father, sibling - whoever might be the superhero/ine in your life, we all have one! Think about it and act on it...

F is for FLOWERS

This week's challenge over at http://alphabetchallengeblog.blogspot.com/ is F for Flowers. Here is the card I made using some flowers...

Something Completely Different...

Again, this is the very first time I participate in the weekly challenge hosted by http://adifferentchallengeaweek.blogspot.com/, this week's theme is HOUSE/S and this month all creations are to be done on skinnies. Here is my entry:
This skinny was made with recycled cardboard as a base, leftover scrapbooking paper as background and a house drawn by my daughter with markers on painted newsprint. She is always commenting how bad she wants me to use her art in my creations and I thought this was a very good ocasion to do so... She is of course thrilled!

4.From what situation this week would you have liked to eject yourself? Packing for our upcoming trip and leaving the apartment in mint condition :(
5.In what situation this week did you cede power to someone else? I allowed my daughter to pick a movie I do not care for but sometimes you just have to give in...

Wordless Wednesday - Thursday Edition

Colorful Fun at Dusk

THEME THURSDAY - Bright Colors!

This week's challenge over at http://themethursday.wordpress.com/ is bright colors, a not very common but very enjoyable theme.

This is a collaged page for a glue book titled ABSTRACT GARDEN.

Writer's Workshop

Today I am participating in the above mentioned assignment over at http://www.mamakatslosinit.com/ and the subject I am choosing is the following: “What did you once lose? and I am to write about my search to find it again... here I go...

Creativity seem to be an eluvise being in my life. More often than I care to admit I seem to be rather uninspired, at a dead end, not knowing which way to turn - IF there is a turn...
There have been times when I've searched and looked for my inspiration so I can feel creative again, other times I've just waited for my muse to come back from wherever it is that is goes to hide...
It seems there might be a link between my emotions and my creativity or lack of... I never know what will work each time it happens. Someone elses photo, project, creation might become the spark I need to get started; other times nature inspires me to either pick up where I left or start anew...
At times I've just been idle for a period of time and then, all of a sudden inspiration strikes again and I am off! There have been times when having agreed to make something for someone acts as pressure and I have no other option but to finish whatever project I might have taken on... on those ocasions the journey is no where as enjoyable as when I am not working under pressure...
I am also known for starting something at the eleventh hour just because inspiration happens to hit at that time :)
There is nothing like being elated about a subject/project/medium/creation! When pure enjoyment of the project at hand is what matters... It is in those ocasions when the end result is always pleasing to ME!
Regardless of how often I lose my muse, how long it takes to get my inspiration back, I know deep down that it will return, it will come back to me... sometimes at full force, other more subtle, however, I always rejoice at having it back in any shape or form!
